Cash in on eBay Express
Tips you can use TODAY to dramatically increase your sales by cashing in on eBay express.
I am still getting a lot of eBay sellers asking questions about eBay express: Things like what's the deal with eBay express? Can I really get more traffic,
make more money & make more sells using it? Also, I get questions like how do I find my items on the site, how do I know if someone buys one of my items on it etc.
Right now eBay express is designed to attract the casual buyer or the "newer" eBay shopper. These are the people who are a little more comfortable shopping at your standard e-commerce websites. They're comfortable shopping at places like buy.com, Amazon.com, etc.
They are a lot more at ease when shopping on websites where the selection of sellers isn't nearly as overwhelming. eBay has hundreds of thousands of sellers and millions upon millions of auctions running at any given time. (Amazon does as well but they mask it so it doesn't appear they have thousands of sellers)
As I see it, the key here is having one shopping cart without all of the mass confusion that can sometimes discourage an average eBay shopper. eBay express turns the eBay shopping experience into just that. . . Simplified.
When a buyer decides to buy a variety of products off eBay express's site, they can buy as many items as they want and collect them into one shopping cart even while buying from multiple sellers. Then when the buyer is done and ready to check out he makes just one payment through PayPal where it is divided up between all the sellers behind the scenes.
The transition is seamless for both the buyer and seller. It is very much like shopping at the larger e-commerce stores like amazon.com or buy.com, just to name a couple.
Their is one catch however, if a buyer shops with a high number of sellers, their shipping costs will go through the roof, so it's definitely a no brainier benefit for buyers to buy more than one item from as many sellers as possible in order to take advantage of combined shipping.
Tip #1: All of your item's descriptions will still show up when your listings are live on eBay Express's site. As with any auction you have running, you should try and make sure to pitch your other items to any and all prospective buyer in your description. Let the buyer know they can save a lot on shipping if they buy multiple items from you. (With any luck this will help shoppers/buyers in their decision making process and get them to order additional items from you.)
The bad news is selling on eBay Express is not an open market where just anyone can sell. eBay has been doing their best to make eBay Express a place new shoppers feel comfortable and safe as if they were shopping on a major e-commerce site.
If you would like to begin selling on eBay Express, here's what you need to know:
* You have to have an eBay feedback rating of at least 100.
* Like a Power Seller (PS), you have got to have at least 98% positive.
* Your items will appear automatically in eBay Express but they must be in Fixed Price or Store Inventory format.
* Your listing has to have a photo, item condition in the Item specifics area--not just the description and you must state any and all shipping costs/charges.
* PayPal is the primary payment system on the site, so you must accept it for payments (Which most people already do).
eBay Express gives sellers the opportunity to reach a new group of buyers. Just about anyone with a credit card or Paypal account can shop on eBay Express. It has a much easier feel and is a lot simpler to shop on than eBay. It's designed to look like a typical e-commerce site without all the fancy bells and whistles or confusion.
Tip#2: If you would like to find your listings on eBay Express, type the following address into your web browser:
http://search.express.ebay.com/merchant/YOUR_EBAY_USER_ID_HERE .
Be sure to use your eBay ID where it says "YOUR_EBAY_USER_ID_HERE" instead of mine when you place your search.
If you qualify to sell on eBay Express, start getting ready to sell on it. To do so you could:
* Start building up your listings of items in your eBay store.
* Check out how the competition is listing on eBay Express.
* Start getting ready (yes, now) for the big upcoming holiday season. This year it is sure to explode on both eBay and eBay Express!
