WI-FI Extends Work at Home Office
From Yahoo Tech:
Most days, I love working from home. Some days, I can’t stand it. This is one of those days, so I have done what I suspect many work-from-home parents who miss our offices of work days past sometimes do: I’ve sought refuge in a quick change of scenery.
I’m working from my town library today because I can. It’s a Wi-Fi hotspot, and there are lots of magazines, newspapers, and books around to inspire me between posts. Besides, my youngest has a half day of school today and two orthodontist appointments promise to eat up more of my daytime working hours. So, here, I figure I can ignore the breakfast dishes, the piles of laundry, bills to pay, and everything else staring me in the face at home besides my work. Often the bonus of working from home—being able to throw a load in the wash between calls, run the vacuum between posts, check the fridge for tonight’s dinner ingredients—is the bane of an uninterrupted stretch of work productivity.
